Stitching, Flags, Flowers and Brads

Two things about this layout: I needed to finally scrap this picture and I  wanted  to use a
sketch I found on Pinterest.  The paper used is So Happy Together by Echo Park:
Happy Stripes, Garden Paper, and Jot it Down. I also used some red and blue brads - Love brads!!!

A little secret about me as a scrapbooker...I am TERRIBLE about journaling.
See that journal box that is not written in - Uh Oh!!

Happy Scrapping,

Sunday Social Fun!!

Did you sleepwalk as a child?
No but I think my brother did.  I am glad he didn't
walk in my room and scare the bologna out of me!

Did you ever try to run away or sneak out of your house?

The only time I tried to run away was when I was two.  I think it was to test

my mom to see how she would react.  My parents would tell me the story.
I took my little wind up T.V. by the handle and walked to the end of my
driveway.  My mom sat on the stoop (she knew I wouldn't go far).
I got to the end of the driveway and started to cry.

Did you have any imaginary friends?
No, but I loved pretend play and I would pretend I was
talking to others while playing house, school, or restaurant.
Does Mr. Snuffleupagus count?

Did you ever go toilet papering?
YES!  So fun.  Our HS cheerleading tradition was to toilet paper the senior
football players' houses the night before the big Thanksgiving day game.
I was one of the cheerleaders (my senior year).  We made signs for their
houses and then the night before the big game went toilet papering.

Did you ever sneak tv shows you weren’t allowed to watch?
No!  As kids we didn't comprehend things like kids do today.
Lots went right over our heads.  I do remember my mom telling
us we couldn't watch Weird Science - she didn't like what she
saw when she walked by while we were watching it.  The
funny thing - we had already watched it a gazillion times!

Pinterest Inspired Friday - Scrapbook Layout

broken treasures

Good morning!  Today I am sharing a post that is two-fold.  It is a Pinterest inspired
layout but it is also the layout I shared on Elizabeth's blog showing the use of Flip Flaps.
Elizabeth and I met on Linked in and she asked me to create a layout for her blog
(she is a CTMH consultant).

The sketch I used was by Basic Grey for a two page layout.

The two page Easter layout was fun to create with all the springy papers and embellishments.
A few months back, I learned about a new product by Close to My Heart called Flip Flaps.
Flip Flaps come in many different sizes and make it easy to include multiple pictures on a layout.

I used a 4x6 Flip Flap on my page, which allowed me to include two extra pictures.
The Flip Flap has an adhesive strip that attaches to the outside of the page protector.
The papers used to create this layout are from the We R Memory Keepers
Simply Spring Collection: Blossoms, Basket, Raindrop, Expressions, the
Embellishment Stickers and the Spring Flings Frame.

Boy by Nature!

Hello everyone.

This is a quick, late in the day post written so I could share the layout I created for the Scrapping Wonders link-up.  I had a lot of fun with the sketch.  It was easy to use and putting the layout together was pretty quick and to top it off, I am happy with the way it came out.  The paper used was from a pack that I had in my stash (K&Company).  It is always nice to use paper or supplies that have been hanging around.

Happy using old supplies!

Simply Spring ~ Design Team Tuesday!

The Design Team has created beautiful spring layouts using the Simply Spring Collection from
We R Memory Keepers (this was the giveaway that Lisa won - Congrats).  The colors are so fun
and everything coordinates.  The Design Team unanimously agreed that this was a fun collection to work
with.  Some team members shared two layouts they created using the papers and embellishments.

Enjoy these beautiful, spring layouts!

Happy Spring,

2 Challenges - One layout!

I  love to host parties but I also enjoy playing along and visiting other blogs.  While perusing blogs, I came across two challenges: a Color and a Sketch.  I decided to combine the two to create one layout.

Color Me Scrappy Challenge #36 and Let's Get Sketchy Challenge Week 3!
I just loved these colors and the sketch seemed interesting especially
because you had to use two of the same picture and include butterflies.

I  know, I know, most of you are probably thinking that I have my own sketch and color challenges.  I thought it would be fun to try these two (combined) and meet some other scrappy people.  I have never done another challenge on a blog (just linked up my projects).
My layout used two of the same pictures: one  black and white and the other color. I decided to play upon the colors in the color challenge to accent the color photo.  I used the grayish color to accent the black and white picture.  I wanted it to seem as if I was transitioning from black and white to color. This layout was slightly out of my comfort zone because it became busy fast.  The thing that bothers me the most is the O in you - I wish a had a different color sticker.

I Love You in...black and white & color

What do you think?

You Make Me Happy!

Happy Friday.  The title of this scrapbook page is you make me happy.  As I was writing it, I realized that all my blog, twitter, etc.  followers make me happy too.  I look forward to sharing with all of you and seeing your creations.  Thanks for making this whole experience worthwhile and fun.

This layout was created using This and That - Graceful by Echo Park.  I love the colors in this layout and all the fun things that can be done with papers.  The smaller pictures focus in on the flags and flower that I added along with the title at the top right of the page.  I also created a tab on the right side with some overlapping circles cut from one of the papers.   Papers used: Border Strips (2) and  Flower Box

Happy Weekend,

Don't forget: You have through Sunday to link up to our sketch challenge.
