"Scrappy" Pages

Good morning.  Two Halloween layouts for you today.

The first layout was created with this fun Halloween sketch from Sketch-n-Scrap.  Another fun challenge blog that I enjoy playing along with.  This was our Halloween Theme from a few years ago.  One of my fave costume themes.

The Scooby and Daphne layout was another sketch from Let's Get Sketchy (I shared a layout using one of their sketches yesterday).  I had a lot of fun using this sketch to inspire this layout.  I have been really enjoying my experiences with sprays and mists.

Used Enamel Dots, All Hallows Eve Papers, Mister Huey's Opaque White, and Black Widow Pumpkin Paper.  Only a few days left to shop our Croptober deals.

Happy Sharing,

Remember: Link up your Halloween and Fall layouts on Crafty Creations.

Fall Colors and Halloween Fun

Today I am creating with the colors from our challenge that was posted last week.  The Sketch was from Let's Get Sketchy week 3.  I always love playing along with the ladies over at Let's Get Sketchy.

Reflections Fall was the kit I used on this layout.  Along with the chipboard stickers.

This Halloween Layouts was created for the SWAT challenge (see sketch below).  You had to use wood on the layout.  As you can see I turned the sketch.  I had so much fun creating this page.  See below for lists of supplies available at The Memory Nest.

I used the All Hallow's Eve papers (thought the eyes were great for a Scooby Doo page), Black Widow - Gravestone, Family Stories Enamel Dots, Metallic Candy buttons, Here and There Cardstock Arrows,  Color Shine Black and Mister Huey's Opaque White.  The rest of the items were from my stash although we do have some new wood shapes in stock.  Last few days for Croptober Deals!

I love a challenge!  You?
Happy Playing along!

P.S. Play along with and link up to our Ombre Challenge or Color Challenge until the end of October.

My Ombre Layout

WOW!  Now I know why some crafters and DT members have said this was
challenging. Here is my take on the ombre technique using orange.  This is not one
of my favorite layouts but it was fun to experiment with the ombre technique.

I used Heidi Swapp Color Shine Mustard (LOVE it) along with the Color Magic Ephemera Pack
(flags, arrow, and heart).  The Color Shine Ephemera was so fun to use - a new fave of mine.

Want to try Color Shine?
Make sure to take advantage of the special we have on sprays and mists.

You still have time to create with us using this fun technique.
So many of you have already linked up amazing creations.

Make it Monday #3

Happy Monday.  Hope you all had a great weekend.  We had our fun, annual Halloween party on Saturday.  I will hopefully post about it later this week. For those of you who do not know, I LOVE Halloween.  We choose a theme for our family costumes.  Make sure to check back and see what we are dressing as this year.

Today the ladies on the design team and our guest designer, Katie Lamb, created beautiful layouts and cards using the colors for our second challenge this month.  The twist is to make it fall themed!  We hope you will link up to our fun challenge.  And don't forget about the first challenge of October - the ombre technique.  All who link up have a chance to win a gift certificate to shop The Memory Nest.

My name is Katie Lamb and I live in Birmingham which is the second largest city in the United Kingdom. I love all forms of scrapbooking and have been doing it for 9 years and started while I was in college. I love to be inspired and inspire others so I set up my blog Life in a Snapshot so I could share my creations with others.

Happy "Making it,"
