August sketch from Elle's Studio. I used a very eclectic array of product from different manufactures. I was thrilled with the final product - more so than I thought I would be.

This summer my son was thrilled to find snake (small ones) in our back yard. Not only did he find one, but a couple of days later he found snake number 2! He was thrilled. Such a boy!!
Here is the sketch I used for the first layout. It is another from Elle's Studio (the SNAKE one I mentioned the other day). Click here to see other Elle's Sketches that I created with.
This page was my own creation - "no sketch." I was thrilled to be able to use this paper as a background. I used watercolor pencils to color in parts of the background!
The focus of the picture below was on the snake - hence the reason my son is blurry!

Sharing another layout! One of my recent favorites! The pictures were printed at Persnickety Prints on their 4x8 sheet. They are a little smaller than 2"x2".
The title was placed on a piece of vellum.
I also created with this sketch, but the layout will be posted later
in the week. Be on the lookout for my SNAKE post!

Hello! Playing along with STUCK sketches and sharing what I created!! I know, I create with a lot of sketches. But it really helps me to accomplish a lot of layouts and I still get to add my own added touches!! Later this week (if not tomorrow) I have a page that I created on my own - no sketch!!
Stuck sketch and the top 10 challenge at (will fill this
in but wanted to get this posted)
the top 10 is obviously about me at 38!
I saw other sites during the month of August
doing age pages. I never had a chance to do
one but thought it was a neat idea!
This page is one of my favorites out of the pages I recently created! The picture though came out HORRIBLE!!! I tried taking it 3 times. I plan to take it again. Not sure why this one would not photograph well. The pictures are iPhone pics and not the clearest - maybe that is why!?!?!

Hello! YES, that is Taylor Swift! She bought a house last year in RI not far from where my parents have a place. We searched for her whenever we were out last summer, and this summer if we ran into then that would be awesome. Well, while we were on vacay in Gettysburg, I get a picture texted to me from my mom. She was with Taylor Swift. Needless to say, my dd was slightly disappointed, but got over it after talking to Grammie about how she was able to get this priceless and lucky pic!!
This is a sketch from August at My Scraps and More!
Saw it on my friend Julie's blog and loved what she did with it.

This layout is totally out of my comfort zone! I really had fun doing something different. I created the background a while back using Heidi Swapp Color Shine paper. I wanted to create a rainbow effect. I also loved this saying from the ephemera that I recently purchased. The sketch I chose to use had a chevron background, and I thought the saying went well with my fun picture collage!
Sketch from Scrapbook Challenges SBC #409
Thanks for the inspiration!

Hello. Sharing lots this week. Here is a layout that I had planned for a while. I really wanted to mimic the banners in the pictures on my layout. I am thrilled with the way the rosettes came out.
I have made rosettes before but I needed to refresh my memory. Found this tutorial on Pinterest.
I only did half of the rosette to get the half circle banner look. AND I am getting a ton of use out of the Pink Paislee Pen Pals Paper (I bought the pad). It is so versatile!!

Cute Story: My son darted down the beach saying he needed to save the seagulls. At the
time I really didn't know why he needed to save them but I started snapping pictures. Come to
find out he was stopping them from eating a potato chip bag [and cleaning up the environment at the same time]. So glad I was able to capture this memory of my son having love in his heart.
Picture not clear due to no sun - will try to upload a better one!
Playing along with a sketch by Brenda Ragsdale
for a September challenge.
Happy Saving the Seagulls,
