A few things lately...
I know I have been quite busy but thought it would be neat to share what has taken up my time lately. And I have been getting back to visiting your blogs - which really makes me feel accomplished. And believe it or not, all the good things I am seeing is making miss and want to scrap. YAY!!
Lately...
- Got a part time job at a nursery school as a substitute (with the chance that it could turn into more).
LOVE it!! I actually was called in to work about 9 different sessions in May and June. And let me tell you, that little time spent with 3 or 4 year olds is tiring!!
- Baseball season for my son...need I say more? Who by the way, pitched this season and really likes it.
- End of the school year concerts and activities: son's instrumental concert, daughter's chorus concert, son's piano recital, daughter volunteering at her school's 50 year celebration, and this weekend it will all (sort of) end with my daughter's dance recital!!! I am so excited about this. We are at a new studio this year and the ballet classes put on a production. The show is only 1 hour long and the production is the Lion King!! She is an AMAZING dancer. So proud of my two kiddos.
- Reading: 5 books our of my goal of 20 to read. And some of you may know this but my reading "season" is April - September. Thanks for the book suggestions. I will be checking those out. Currently reading...

Choral Concert
My daughter had to dress like the 60's (if possible). Like the hair style?
And a sneak peek at the Lion King outfit
(no make-up or hair done).

Happy Scrapping,
How lovely to see what you and your very talented kids have been up to. And yes 3 and 4 year olds are very tiring - each one thinks you're there just for them! Love that lion king outfit, can't wait to see the full version. Hugs xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Jane. Xo
DeleteIt's a crazy time of year, isn't it? Congratulations on the teaching position. I loved working with little ones but yes, it's definitely tiring. LOL! I think you'll enjoy your book choice. I read it in my two-person book club a while back and we enjoyed it. :)
ReplyDeleteWanted to let you know that I am enjoying the book. I am 75% done with it and the more I read the more I like it. If we lived closer I would love to join your two person book club!!

ReplyDeleteHow fun that you are working part time at a daycare Leslie! Yes, those little ones can keep you busy and wear you out. I know my grandkids do me. lol I love all the wonderful things your kids are into and you have every right to be very proud of them. They are awesome! And yes, I do love your daughter's 60 styled hair. lol I really do! Wow what a costume too, that will be an amazing production from the looks of it. I too read mostly in the warmer months cause I love to read outside. lol There just isn't a better place to read unless it is in front of a fireplace or my feet propped on an old cook store that is going (like I used to do at my grandmother's, loved reading by that dang stove!) Hugs, Brenda
