Creative Blog Tour

I have met so many wonderful ladies in the scrapbooking blogosphere.  I always enjoy seeing their creations and am thrilled when they stop by to say hi.  It is so nice to connect with other ladies who share the same love - scrapbooking.

Thank you Angie from Living a Crafting Life for asking me to be a part of the Creative Blog Tour.  Stop by and visit Angie to see what she shared in her creative blog post.  This is a fun way for us crafters to introduce our scrappy friends to other scrappy friends.  Make sure to read through the end to see the other creative bloggers I tagged!

1. What am I working on?

I am always working on catching up on my scrapbooking. Lately, I have been scrapping mostly current pictures.  From time to time I reach into my stash of old pictures to create with those!  I am busy keeping the two monthly challenges on my blog going and as most of you know have been creating sketches.

2. How does my work differ from others of its genre?
My style has really changed over the last year or so.  I truly love working with sketches.  It helps jump start my creative juices.  I have learned that I can take a sketch but make the layout my own.  I LOVE mixing products from different manufacturers.  I pull colors for my layouts from the pictures I am scrapping.   And although I love trying new techniques, sometimes clean and simple is the way for me!

3. Why do I write/create what I do?
I started scrapbooking 13 years ago after I married my high school sweetheart.  And actually, today is our wedding anniversary - such a coincidence!  I wanted a special album to showcase all the extra pictures that were taken by our wedding guests.  I found that I loved creating scrapbooks and continued crafting albums for my children!  I LOVE looking back on an event and reliving it all over again.  The journaling definitely helps but even the pictures tell a story through the page design and details added.

4. How does your writing/creating process work?

I am not a huge writer, but I love to share some thoughts on my pages.  I always start scrapping by looking at my pictures and choosing a collection or color palette.  The products I choose and the various amazing sketches available help me to create!  Here is the sketch I created for the next challenge at tMN.  The sketch goes live today and is created to help quick start someone else's creativity (and my own too).  I appreciate all the amazing sketches that the scrapbook community shares!

Here are the creative blogs/blogger I have tagged.  They will be sharing more about themselves next Monday - July 21st on their blogs.  Make sure to stop by.
