Sunday Social Fun!!

Sunday Social

Did you sleepwalk as a child?
No but I think my brother did.  I am glad he didn't
walk in my room and scare the bologna out of me!

Did you ever try to run away or sneak out of your house?

The only time I tried to run away was when I was two.  I think it was to test

my mom to see how she would react.  My parents would tell me the story.
I took my little wind up T.V. by the handle and walked to the end of my
driveway.  My mom sat on the stoop (she knew I wouldn't go far).
I got to the end of the driveway and started to cry.

Did you have any imaginary friends?
No, but I loved pretend play and I would pretend I was
talking to others while playing house, school, or restaurant.
Does Mr. Snuffleupagus count?

Did you ever go toilet papering?
YES!  So fun.  Our HS cheerleading tradition was to toilet paper the senior
football players' houses the night before the big Thanksgiving day game.
I was one of the cheerleaders (my senior year).  We made signs for their
houses and then the night before the big game went toilet papering.

Did you ever sneak tv shows you weren’t allowed to watch?
No!  As kids we didn't comprehend things like kids do today.
Lots went right over our heads.  I do remember my mom telling
us we couldn't watch Weird Science - she didn't like what she
saw when she walked by while we were watching it.  The
funny thing - we had already watched it a gazillion times!

Happy Sunday,

  1. :) I played pretend all the time - all the same games as you as well!
    I've never seen Weird Science!
Love your blog - going to be a new reader. You have a whole different way of telling your stories than most people, I really like it.

  5. Great post. These are great questions to ask yourself and to add to a page about your childhood! I did sleepwalk. I remember once getting ready for school and my grandmother, whom I lived with, asked me why I was getting dressed. It was the middle of the night. I just remember shrugging my shoulders and hopping back into bed clothes and all.
