Comedy Night Event

Hello All. It has been TOO LONG...but I wanted to share why I have been MIA for the past week.

For the past 3 years I have been hosting a parents' night out event for my children's elementary school  PTO (Parent Teacher Organization).  The previous two years we hosted a wine tasting event - fun - but it was time for a change.  After pondering our options, the committee decided on Comedy Night!

I searched for a local comedian and found one who came highly recommended.  She was awesome, hysterical and made the night complete.  Thanks, Linda Belt.

We had a variety of  raffle and silent auction prizes ~ that is where we make most of our money.  The best auction items are the kids artwork.  I won the fish pictured below, which was created by my daughter's 4th grade class.  She wanted me to win it since the previous year I won a cookie jar that her brother's class created.  There was music, talking, food, drinking and laughing all for $25.  The night was a huge success!

The pitchers, platter and cookie jar in the pictures above and below are created using the
children's fingerprints.  The cookie jar below is similar to the one I won last year!

Thank you to all my committee members who helped make the event fun and successful - a good time had by all who attended .  I could not have done it without you!  We are going out with a bang!  (p.s. for those of you who are reading this, I am not chairing the event next year. Not sure if anyone will take on this enormous task).

Happy Monday!

    1. Thank you Grisel. Your comments mean a lot. It was a such a nice night. I paid a pretty penny for that cute fish. So glad you stopped by to check out the event. You probably don't know this but I was PTO president for two years. Term ended last spring. It was a lot of work.
