Doreena's Place
Hello, hello!
I am VERY excited to be a part of The Memory Nest team!!!
I have been a follower and admirer for years so being a part of this is such a wonderful and amazing opportunity! I hope I inspire you as much as I have been inspired!

A teensy bit about me:
I am 40 years old (as of October 2015) and have been married to the love of my life, David, since 7/16/01.
We reside in sunny Southern California w/ our 2 children.
I am a Mommy to 2 Human babies: Joseph (1995) and Madison (2002), and 2 Fur-Babies: Ivanna (dog), Spotty (dog).
I am also a "Grandma" to 2 (other) Fur-Babies: Panini (cat) and Hamlet (mini pot belly pig)...they belong to my daughter.
As you can imagine, yes, I have a full house... and I love it!

Besides scrapbooking I am a lover of art, coffee, stand-up comedy, selfies, music, Netflix, napping, food, fitness, and books (not necessarily in that order).  My blog where I share all the projects I create "Doreena's Place"  http://madijoes.blogspot.com/  Feel free to visit me any time and I promise I will return the favor! Until then... happy creating!!!

 Jane Taylor
Hi everyone,
I'm so delighted to be joining the Memory Nest's DT and am excited to introduce myself. I live in the UK with my husband of 39 years, Niall. I have three grown up sons and three adorable grandsons - one of them very new. I'm sure you'll be getting to know them over the coming year as they tend to be my main subjects for scrapping, although  my oldest son's greyhound, my garden and trips out to beautiful places around the UK also feature from time to time.

I think I've probably been crafting all my life, starting at primary school with a love of embroidery and knitting - girls did this while boys played sport, yes I'm that old! Building on this my Nan taught me how to sew and I made dolls clothes, aprons and then my own clothes. I studied to be a primary school teacher with craft as my main subject - this included weaving, collage and dressmaking. Over the next few years I dabbled in many crafts including cross stitch, macrame, patchwork, crochet, card making - you name it I've probably given it a go!

I discovered scrapbooking round about 2005 and made the standard family history album, then a holiday album, then a wedding album and another wedding album ..... Yes I was smitten! I found it really difficult to find shops, workshops or other scrapbookers where I live and turned to the internet for inspiration and made such an important discovery. - scrapbooking can be about the everyday and not just special occasions. I don't think I've ever looked back since and although I still find card making is more popular here in the UK,  for me it's always scrapbooking that is my total love. I never begrudge spending on supplies for my pages as I know I'm going to treasure them and hope they will be passed on for many generations yet to come.

I have been scrapping since my son was born, almost 19 years ago now!  I love to play with colors, the bolder, the better! I also make cards, altered art and canvases!  I also LOVE to take junk and upcycle it!

Lori Stroup
My Happy Life

Hello! My name is Lori and I live in a small SW Missouri town with my husband, Scott, and our 2 sons, Matthew and Shane. We also have a daughter, Abby, who is married to her high school sweetheart and they have a two year old little girl named Ada that I get the pleasure of babysitting through the week.  I started scrapbooking about 17 years ago and card making soon after that. Nothing relaxes me more than spending time in my scrap room. I love looking back on all that has happened and preserving those memories. I would call my scrappy style clean and simple, but lately I have been having fun adding a few more layers to my projects.  You can find me at My Happy Life any day of the week. I would love for you to stop by!
