A break from scrapping

Hello Ladies!  Hope you all had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!  It was gorgeous here.  Sorry I have been very absent lately.  Think I am the one in a rut lately as far as scrapping.  I had so much scrapping mojo for a while, but that has vanished.  I hope to get it back soon!!  But I am not going to rush it - I need to really be in the mood to scrap - I am sure a lot of you know what I mean.  Until then, I will try to visit your blogs - maybe your projects will help inspire me.

I have been busy doing my other favorite thing, reading.  I am a huge reader from April through September.  Have you read any good books lately???  Please share.  I have also painted my front door and started staining the deck.  I plan on finishing that up tomorrow.  And the gardens need so much TLC - not sure when we will get to that.  Hope you are all well!

Happy Spring,

  1. Hey, love! I totally understand. Sometimes we just need to take a step back and rest. Although, it sounds like you're not relaxing much at all ;). Happy reading and sprucing up your home. Hugs!

    1. Gone Girl was good - but wasn't crazy about the ending. Hey - I still read it in under a week. Thanks for your suggestion. I will be checking it out.

  4. You are right not to rush Leslie, cause Mojo can't be rushed! I tend to read more in the summer months because I love to sit outside and read. lol Plus I don't scrap or craft much in the summer because I want to be outside, especially after the last two hard winters we have had you just want out the house. Sounds like you are getting some great projects done around the house and that is always a good thing too. So take your time my friend, we will be right here when you return. Big hugs, Brenda

  5. I've been doing LOAD so no rut here, sorry to hear your in one but sometimes spring has a habit of doing that to us crafters, drawing us out into the sun and the beauty of spring. I've gotten back to reading myself this year, I was an avid reader and then worked for myself, now that I'm not working for myself I'm able to enjoy reading again. I recently read the Twilight Saga series (4 books) and been reading the Midnight Sun (downloaded book from his point of view so that has been interesting :) Wish you luck on getting the mojo back. Tina

  7. There is no reason to scrap if you aren't feeling it. Plus this is the perfect time to be outside and enjoying good weather and getting those outside projects completed.

  8. Hi Leslie!...I went to visit my mother in Florida over Mother's Day...I threw away 3 LOs after I got back before getting a "good" one which brought my mojo right back!!!! Scrapping is all about when you feel it!

  10. I haven't scrapped or blogged in forever. I have been totally consumed by the wedding. Now i am busy planning our trip. I need this getaway and this break.... I have no mojo and even less inclination to scrap.. I am reading a lot too. Right now I am reading Jonathan Kellerman - Monster. I love psychological thrillers.
